Seth's 7th birthday

We celebrated Seth's 7th birthday this past Thursday. I am a little late with posting pictures, but I guess better late than never. :) It is hard to believe he is 7! Time sure flies. I remember being pregnant with him, what I did the night before I had him, going through labour and delivery for the first time and how long the first night was after he was born. I couldn't sleep much since I was filled with such awe and joy at being a mother for the first time and couldn't help looking at our new baby and holding him throughout the night. His birth started our journey of parenthood. And it is a big task for sure! Seth is a strong willed child, but has a good heart and he is learning and growing through experiences he has been going through lately. We love him so much and are thankful for this firstborn son! He is a good big brother to Ethan and Chloe too! We continue to pray for you Seth, that God would bless you in this coming year and that God would work in your heart to love and serve Him all your days!
I find it fun to decorate a bit the night before. The kids wake up in the morning and the first thing they do is check out the decoration.

He received Adventures in Odysseys, and a Super Mario t-shirt & a pack of gum

On Friday night we had a family party and this is the Lego cake I made for him (although he doesn't eat cake, but I promised our guests there would be cake!)

She's 4 months old

Our little girl turned 4 months old on Sunday! She is such a sweetie and we all love her so much! She is very content and easy going. Still sleeping well through the night, although in the past week she wakes up every now and then and one night she fed twice throughout the night (Oh well, I honestly didn't mind). She babbles in her crib when she wakes up in the morning and from naps. And as I type, I hear her blowing bubbles with her saliva over the baby monitor. :) She also is able to roll over from her back to tummy and from tummy to back. Although, she doesn't do that all the time and sometimes gets stuck with her one arm. She sure is growing up very fast! Almost too fast! Her are some pictures of her 4 month photo shoot.

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas break and Blessing for this New Year!
We had a busy 2 weeks around here and I am thankful for being back into routine again. The Christmas decorations have been taken down, the house has been cleaned, and we are getting ready for a birthday celebration for Seth coming up on Thursday. :) So stay tuned for another post soon.

Who wouldn't love this sweet little baby girl!?! It is hard to believe last year at this time we found out we were expecting a baby, and now here she is and almost 4 months old already! We are so thankful to God for her. He knew that we needed this little girl to join our family! We love her so much!!

or 3 and a half :)

3 snow days last week and a half day this week! Crazy! This has never happened before. I remember having the odd snow day when I was growing up, but so far since Seth has been in school, we haven't had any snow days (at least not on the days he had to go). Welcome to our Winter Wonderland! Even though I am not a big fan of winter, the snow does look pretty! Here are some pictures from the past couple weeks of Christmasy things around our house.

Christmas baking... shortbread cookies yum!

we attempted to do a ginger bread house this year (bought a kit from the grocery store), the boys had fun putting it together

I got this idea from someones picture on facebook
We had extra lights and I just bought some garland and it looks so cozy, especially in the evening

now we have 5 stockings hanging by the fireplace
last year we couldn't hang Chloe's (we knew we were expecting another baby, but we were not ready to share the news with everyone yet)

looking out our front door

a peek out of our window

the boys had a blast playing in the snow

Hope you are all enjoying the winter weather! Looking forward to a couple weeks of Christmas break and some family celebrations as well.

When we have a snow day or two...

...we snuggle in a blanket and stay cozy warm! :)
We also try to sleep in, eat breakfast late and play in the snow, and don't forget the hot chocolate too! Hope you are enjoying your snow days too!

Our Kids

Just a little note about our kids:

Hard to believe Seth is going to be 7 in a little over a month! He is growing up so fast & learning so much since being in Grade 1!

We are very proud of Ethan...2 thumbs up for him since he is now potty trained! He goes whenever he has to and it is great to only have 1 child in diapers now. Saves us money too!

Chloe is 3 months today. She is sleeping 12 hours at night, which is wonderful! My how the past couple months have gone so quickly.

I also wanted to post a picture of her in this sleeper. It is one of my favourites for her and since she keeps growing, it is not going to fit her too much longer.
