cooling off in the pool

Seth had a fun time in his pool this afternoon. Here he is with his new shades on. Cool dude or what?!

Just enjoying the water.

Here he is splashing. Seth has been waiting for summer weather for quite sometime. I would sometimes find him in his room with sandals on and his swim shorts!

our boys

Paul is a volunteer firefighter for our community so here Seth is with the helmet on. I think Seth may want to be a fire man when he grows up. At least that is what he says now.

And I couldn't resist these 2 pictures of Ethan. The one above is his 7 week picture. We took one of Seth at the same age, and this is a comparison one. And below is another smiling picture from the happy little guy. Over all , he is a good baby and growing. Still looking forward to when he sleeps longer at night, but that will come soon enough (hopefully!).

my shaving men and pirates

Here are my shaving men. Any time Paul shaves, Seth wants to join him and he likes to have after shave on too.

Ahoy mates! I have pirates in my home. Even Ethan is part of the gang.

6 weeks old & smiling

Ethan had his 6 week check-up today. He weighs 9 lbs 15 oz and is 21 1/4 inches in length. He has gained close to 3 lbs in 5 weeks. We have to double diaper him for 3 weeks to help with his hip. And he is a little congested but not too much concern. Over all he is healthy and well and goes back in 3 weeks for his 2 month check-up & immunizations.

Here's our smiley boy. He has been smiling since he was 2 weeks old, but now has big smiles and makes cooing noises too. It's amazing how fast they grow up!

not too happy

Ethan is not always a happy little guy. It's hard to believe that he is almost 6 weeks (tomorrow). He goes for a check-up tomorrow so we will see how much he weighs and his length. He sure is growing and getting bigger. Not a wee baby like he was at birth. He also went over 6 hours between feeds last night and slept at least 5 of those hours. Hopefully this means many more nights like that!

Just a reminder . . .

Just a reminder to all mothers or whoever watches your children to keep any medication out of a childs reach. We had quite the scare yesterday. Seth told me he ate the "black vitamins from the happy face bottle". So he showed me the bottle and it was children's tylenol. First he told me he took 2 then he told me he took 4. And I had no idea how many were in the bottle (I just knew there was not a full bottle). So Paul told me to take him to emerg. So there I spent over 5 hours in emerg with Seth & Ethan and my mom came along to give me a hand. They monitored Seth's temperature, blood pressure and they did an ECG and bloodwork. All things are well with him. He did take extra medicine, but not enough to seriously harm him. We are thankful to God that he is alright. So now I have made sure that anything, even mouthwash and vitamins are all out of his reach! All in all, I was able to spend some extra time with my mom on mother's day and she was able to be with her grandkids too. Oh, and Seth received a finger puppet for being such a good kid while they took bloodwork from him.

Ethan's Baptism

Ethan was baptized yesterday evening. Here he is in the gown that I wore and my sisters and brother wore for our baptisms.

Here is Jennifer's side of the family. There are 4 generations in this picture. Pretty amazing how God allows people to see their children's children!

Here is Paul's side of the family (John & Betty and their kids were not able to make it)

Our happy family. God has blessed us with another covenant child and we are very thankful for our 2 blessings that we have!

squeakers comes to play (and Auntie Dani too)

Auntie Dani brought Squeakers over the other day so Seth could play with him. They all enjoyed the beautiful outdoors. I absolutely love this weather!
