my working men!

I came downstairs and found Seth & Daddy working on our basement bathroom. Seth told me that they were "working men". I thought it was cute and took a picture. Whenever Paul is working on home renos, Seth is right there with his tools and ready to help along!

a new addition to the family

Some of you may be thinking that our little one arrived, but not yet. Soon I hope! But the addition to the family is Danielle's new puppy named Squeakers. She bought him today and he is so adorable. She brought him over so Seth, Paul & I could see him. Seth was a little scared at first, but warmed up just before they had to go. This little puppy is already attached to Danielle. He's a cutie!

comparing pregnancies

Here are 2 pics of me. The one on the left is my current pregnancy, just 1 week and 6 days until due date. The one on the right is how big I was with Seth just days before his birth. So far, everything is well. Just waiting for this baby to come. I had my OB appointment and all looks good. The baby is ready & in the right position, someone just has to tell him or her to come out!

Just thought I'd post

Not much is happening around here. We are all better from colds and Seth's ear infection is gone too. So I guess now the baby can come, since we all are healthy!! Only 14 more days to go! I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions in the evening for the last few weeks. So I will see what is happening when I go to my OB appointment tomorrow. We are so ready for this little one. We pre-admitted last Thursday at the hospital. So he or she can come at any time. I hope to have a picture taken on me tomorrow and will compare with how I looked when I was pregnant with Seth. I will post again tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Mom!

It was my Mom's birthday yesterday. So some of the family got together for pizza and cake at their place. Jay was not there since he is in Mississippi on a Word & Deed mission trip, helping with the work from Hurricane Katrina. And Danielle was working. We had a nice time celebrating her birthday.

We thank God for you Mom! And are thankful for all you do. You are a wonderful mother & grandmother! And we love you lots!

the count down is on!!

Only 3 more weeks, that is 21 more days until my due date. We are ready for the baby. The crib is set up, the cradle is ready. We have a large supply of diapers ready. The sleepers and undershirts are washed. I even have my bag mostly packed and ready for the hospital. We are just waiting for this little one to come. It is an exciting time and everything has been going well so far. We pray for a good delivery and a healthy baby.
We are on the mend too. Seth is doing much better. He goes to the doctor's on Thursday morning, just to make sure the ear infection is gone. He has been sleeping long throughout the night lately, which is nice. We are only battling colds here in our household. All 3 of us have one. But we are getting better. So we are thankful for that!

just when we thought he was getting better . . .

. . . we found out yesterday that Seth has an ear infection. He seemed like he was doing better on Wednesday afternoon and evening. But yesterday, he was crying most of the day, complaining about a sore ear. He wouldn't go and play and wanted to be held most of the time. Which is not typical of him. So I took him to the clinic and was given a prescription. He has a 5 day dose of this medicine and then I have to take him next Thursday to the doctor to see if it is gone. Poor little guy! I hope that he is better soon. It's not nice when your children are sick and you can't take away the pain.

a little under the weather

Last night Seth wasn't feeling well. We knew he was coming down with a cold. And today he had a bit of a fever. When he had quiet time, I asked if he wanted to sleep, but he said no. He played for a little while, and this is how Paul & I found him when we both woke up from a nap. It sure doesn't look very comfy but he was tired enough to sleep while he had play time. You know he is not feeling well, when he naps on his own.

the concert

On our way! Sue was excited. We listened to Rebecca's music on the way there to get us pumped for the concert.

Rebecca and her brother Joel (who was singing as her back-up)

Rebecca shared with us about God's love, purity and just having a heart for God. She also encouraged sponsoring a child through Compassion and told of her experience of meeting her sponsor child. Before each song she would speak about how God is working in her life. What an encouragment from her.

Here is Luke & Joel (Rebecca's brothers). They sang one of their songs. They don't have an album out yet, but are working on one! Can't wait until it is out! They are good singers.

And at the end, we were able to stand in line and get an autograph. Sue was also able to get a picture with Rebecca. I know that this really made Sue's night! She enjoyed herself at the concert of a lifetime. Paul & I enjoyed ourselves too, and the baby was even moving around too!

my cousin had a baby girl!

My cousin Micah & his wife Beth had a baby girl last night.
They named her Micayla Elizabeth she weighed approx. 6 lbs, 15 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.
We rejoice with them that God has blessed them with a healthy baby. Mother and baby are doing well. May God grant you both what you stand in need of as your raise your baby girl!
Also, a congrats to Uncle Jon & Aunt Sharon with another grand-daughter.

highly recommended movie!

We watched this movie with my parents & sister Sue on Saturday night. It is a very good movie, with great values and no swearing! I won't say anything more, other than rent it. It will be very worth while!
