Oue dear Grandma, mother, sister is now with the Lord.
How sad it is for us to lose her, but we know that it was her hearts desire to go home. Thanks to all for your prayers and support throughout this time for us as a family.

christmas tree

We have had our tree up for about 3 weeks now. Paul set the tree up and then Seth & I decorated. It is fun to see how the kids get excited about the lights and ornaments on the tree. I was a little worried that Ethan would touch all the ornaments, but he just walks into the living room and is content to just look. We have already had one family gathering and look forward to 2 gatherings next week. It is nice to spend time with family and see everyone again. We also have Christmas programs coming up too. How fun! What a wonderful time of year to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We are so thankful to God for the gift of His Son.

Captain Hook

Seth is going to a birthday party on Saturday and he is supposed to dress up in a fairy tale costume. We borrowed this cosutme from a friend. It looks so cute on him and he is very excited when he gets to walk around being Captain Hook!

We do not really have anything new going on in our household right now. We have our tree up and the house decorated for Christmas. Which reminds me that I should get some pictures of the kids by the tree. We have our first family gathering this coming Saturday. Then school Christmas program, the JK Christmas program, Church program, Sunday School program....the fun only begins. :0) We are looking forward to all the get togethers and programs. A wonderful reminder of God's gift to us, the gift us His Son.

fall fun

Fall is here and we have been busy. We went apple picking a few weeks ago as a family. It was fun. The kids enjoyed it and I was able to make applesauce, which we really enjoy! :0)

Ethan ate that apple the whole time. It took him awhile to eat it, but he enjoyed every bite!

my big helpers (they did most of the picking since I took the pictures)

We went to celebrate my Grandma's birthday last week Saturday. We had a nice visit (even though she does not talk that much). We haven't seen her for a year. So we enjoyed being there. She was excited to see the boys. Her face lit up when she saw them.

Grandma and Tante Sue (her sister who comes yearly for a visit)

We had a hat party. Seth found some straw hats and almost all of us were wearing them for the party.

we did live in Texas for 3 months, so I guess he could be a cowboy?!

Last week we had some beautiful weather and I took some pics of the boys in our backyard. They had fun playing outside. This is my favourite one of Seth.

this is my favourite one of Ethan

afternoon @ the park

We went to the park near our home as a family one afternoon. It was a little chilly out, but we still had fun and enjoyed our time spent together.

something new

Hi all! I haven't posted in a little while. Sorry about that! Some of my friends are doing 'not me Mondays'. It is neat to read but I get confused so I don't think that I will attempt to write one myself. What I hope to try is a 'Wordless Wednesday'. It is where you post a picture and no words are needed to explain the picture. Maybe that will make me take more pics of my kids/family! I haven't been taking them for some time. Hopefully I will post a Wordless Wednesday each week! Stay tuned ... I will post one tomorrow!
I'll leave you with a conversation that Seth & Ethan have together:
Seth: "Ethan, are you going to be a man some day?"
Ethan: nods his head and says "yeah" (which means yes)
Seth: "Ethan, are you going to get a 4-wheeler some day?"
Ethan: again nods his head and says, "yeah"
Ethan has absolutely no idea what Seth is asking him but it is cute to hear him say yes and agree with Seth. So can you guess who is influencing them with the 4-wheeler idea? Sure thing, Daddy is the one. I hear the question "ATV please mommy?" almost all the time. Maybe some day the boys will have one and can go off for some male bonding time and then I can go shopping! Hey, now that sounds like a wonderful idea!

photo shoot of the boys

My cousin Katie did a photo shoot of the boys last week at a beautiful park in our area. It was a little chilly, but the sun was out and it was a beautiful fall morning. She was able to get some nice pictures of the boys together, separate and with me (too bad Paul was sleeping, or we could have had some nice ones of him and the boys too!).
