9 months old

Our baby turned 9 months on Saturday. He is getting to be such a big boy. I think is he almost about 19 lbs. He is finally starting to eat our food put through a baby food grinder and eating some finger foods, yet with a little hesitation as he gags quite a bit. He is also pulling himself up (as you can see in the pictures below). I found him standing up in his crib for the first time last night. I guess it is time to make sure our home is baby-proofed! He is growing so fast and we love him to pieces.

all dressed up to go for a sled ride. He sure loved it!

4 years old today

It is so hard to believe that our boy Seth is 4 today. This year marks so much for him with his first time in Sunday school today, a family adventure to Texas for 3 months while Daddy goes to school and JK in the fall. He has grown so much in the past year and we are so thankful for him. God has blessed him with health & strength and for that we are so grateful! We had a party with family yesterday as Paul has to work today. He enjoyed his party and was happy with the gifts received.

I tried a fire theme this year, since he is into fire trucks and especially since Daddy is going to be going to fire school.

he received a fire truck flashlight

a back pack for when he goes to school in September, just the thought of that is quite something!

more Christmas pictures

here are the cute gift boxes my parents gave for the kids gifts

Seth is not choking Ethan, just being a big brother and loving him

We did stocking stuffer gifts for the boys this year. Ethan wasn't too interested because of his age, but Seth was pretty excited. We ended off the night with tacos for supper, checking out the fantasy of lights & watching the Cars movie and eating lots of candy for a snack.

Seth with his John Deere tractor ornament. We are going to make it a tradition to by the kids an ornament each year.

winter wonderland & family Christmas

We had lots of snow over the weekend, as I am sure many of you have experienced as well. Paul & Seth were snow blowing the driveway this morning. Seth sure loves to help out his daddy!

We had a family Christmas at my parents place this past Saturday. We has a great time spent with everyone there. Fun times, great food and just nice being with the family.

time to post!

I have been a little behind on posting on here. We have not taken many pictures lately, so that would be why. During the Christmas and holiday season, I am sure we will have more.

I always love pictures of the kids together. Here Ethan is doing his famous "bum in the air" thing. It's kind of cute!

Seth will be 4 years old in a little over 1 month. He is growing up so fast and it is hard to believe what this coming year will bring for him. He'll be starting Sunday school in January and be starting regular school in the fall. Wow, it seems like yesterday he was that little baby in my arms and now he is a big boy.

Ethan is almost 8 months. He doesn't do too much but in the last week or so he has started "crawling". I consider it crawling because he gets where he wants to go, but it is not on his hands and knees. He kind of pushes off with his feet and slides forward. I guess he has been doing this for a little while, because I would put him on the floor to play and next thing I knew he was in a totally different position. He's growing up so fast too. Starting to say "da da", "ma ma" (usually when he is sad or upset) and "ba ba". It's too cute!

Ethan doing his famous "bum in the air". I think he is trying to position himself to sit down, but when he puts his bum down, he doesn't know what to do with his hands. He will catch on soon enough I am sure.

grandma's birthday

God has blessed our Grandma with another birthday today. She is celebrating her 86th birthday. On Saturday, my parents, great-aunt Sue (my grandma's sister), the boys and I went to celebrate with her. It was nice to see her once again. She was pretty tired but I think she enjoyed our visit.
