....that this little girl is turning
1 in less than a week!
Last year at this time I was overdue and we all were anxiously awaiting her arrival. She was 8 days past her due date. Those 8 days felt like forever to me!
Just thought I would share a few things about her:
~She is still easy going and content. She loves to play with her toys in the playpen, she laughs and makes almost as much noise as her brothers do.
~She loves eating our food now. Sometimes she still has some baby food, but mostly ours. She is still drinking formula though. I just want to be sure she is gaining enough before putting her on milk.
~She just learned to clap her hands last week while on
vacation. She has been trying for a month or two and finally mastered it.
~She "walks" along furniture, her crib and playpen, but hasn't tried walking on her own. She has been brave a time or two and will stand for a second or more without holding onto anything.
~Not sure how much she weighs....she goes in a couple weeks for her check up. She is very tall, and thin. She wears bigger size clothing just for the length!
~She can say "hi", "all done" (in her own way more like ah da), she says mama, dada, and I think she tries to say Seth too...in her own way of course. She loves to wave bye. She folds her hands to pray when we pray or read the Bible. It is so very sweet!
~She has a favourite bedtime book that I read each night. It actually is a cloth book and was mine when I was a baby. I have read it to all our kids and her face lights up every time I read it to her.
We have 3 birthday celebrations coming up. Paul's, Chloe's and my Dad's and we are celebrating these while on vacation. So when we are back I shall post some pictures of all our celebrations! :) Enjoy the last week of summer break! Hard to believe at how fast the summer went. Back to school and routine in a little over 1 week.
