just a few pictures

Mommy & her boys

Paul took Seth to the fire station this past Friday. Seth had a blast checking out the trucks. He has been walking around the house wanting to fight fires pretty much every day since being there.

Ethan has 2 teeth now. The first came in just 1 week after he turned 5 months and the second came in 1 week later. You can't see them that well, but this was the best picture I was able to take. He looks so cute with teeth. He sure is growing up fast!

Blue Skies

You filled the heavens with hope and a higher love
a picture, a promise for life . . . .
Lord, the sky's still blue
for my hope is in You
You're my joy
You're the dream that's still alive
like the wind at my back
and the sun on my face
You are Life
You're Grace
You are Blue Skies
You're my Blue Skies.

1st tooth

Ethan's 1st tooth came in this past Monday. And I think the 2nd one is not far behind since he has been fussy in the evenings and drooling. He is growing up so fast. He is only 5 months. I don't have a picture of him and his tooth, but I will post one when I get the chance.

a few more vacation pictures (thanks Kate!)

Kate took these pictures and I couldn't resist putting them on our blog. These are the last of the vacation pictures.

Seth loved playing in the sand. He made so many new friends, just by inviting himself to play in the sand with them.

trailer time is over

Seth & Paul enjoying a canoe ride.
Even I went with Paul for a nice canoe ride. It is amazing what kind of nature you see while in a canoe!

Ethan @ 5 months. Our baby is growing up fast! He is eating baby food now and loves it. He is such a cuddly little guy and ready to give smiles.

the birthday boys

Dad & Paul both celebrated their birthdays at the trailer. God has blessed them both with another birthday. We enjoyed our last time at the trailer. We had excellent weather and a great time swimming, canoeing and just relaxing. It was a little sad since we had to close it for the season. But we are looking forward to going again next year!

camping out with daddy

Paul & Seth were planning on having a camp out in our back yard, but due to the rain they decided to have it in our basement. Seth slept in there the whole night, even when Paul left for a fire call early this morning. Seth didn't even notice he left until he woke up in the morning. Seth had lots of fun! Special father & son bonding time.

enjoying books

Seth just absolutely loves books. And if he is quiet and I don't know what he is doing, this is how I find him. Sitting down & looking at books. We have so many books, but I encourage reading for our kids. Seth is also my Little House on the Prairie buddy. We are borrowing the DVD series from my parents and we enjoy watching a video together every now and then.

chubby baby

I just love chubby baby photos. Here I took some of Ethan's hand, arms & legs. He is definitely chubby with rolls & dimples.

our growing boys

brotherly love

Seth teaching Ethan at a young age how to play cars

he'd rather eat it than play with it!

Our smiley and very happy 4 month old baby. He's growing up so fast. He is very content and is laughing & squealing lots these days. He had his 4 month check-up and immunizations and is 14 lbs, 9 oz and 25 1/2 inches in length. Not so little anymore. He is a very healthy baby and we are thankful for that.

Here's Seth in a bear costume. It's not ours but he wanted to try it on. Seth looked so cute in it, auntie Dani couldn't resist taking a picture. It was so hot that day, but the kids still dressed up in the costumes. Seth continues to grow physically, mentally and spiritually. It is so amazing how fast kids grow up and how smart they are. He is a special little boy.

new friend & captain Seth

We just got back from another trip to our trailer. Seth, Ethan & myself were sick with a cold virus, but despite that we still had a very nice time. The weather was beautiful and we were able to swim and go for boat rides. My parents & sisters were there and Michelle & Danielle joined us for the weekend as well.

Meet our new friend!
This friend decided to join us in bed the first night we were there. When we went to bed the first night we heard some noises, like chewing on wood or something. Paul reassured me that if it was a mouse, it would be more afraid of us then we are of it. So, Paul went to sleep and I was awake for 1/2 hour or so and I heard more noises. I woke Paul up and he checked it out, but we found nothing. At 6:30 in the morning, Paul wakes me up saying that something bit his arm, and then a minute later his leg. I lifted up the sheets and found a mouse in our bed. Yuck! We both jumped out of that bed so fast. Then we found it sitting on our couch just staring at us. So Paul's theory of them being more afraid of us went out the window. I know that I did not sleep very well for a few nights. But we did set out traps and caught 1 mouse and a mole. Hopefully that won't happen again!

hmmm . . . which way should I go?

I think we'll head that way!

here are some more beautiful pictures while on the boat ride

We are back home for about 2 weeks and will go to the trailer one more time for 2 weeks and then we will close it for the season. It is amazing how fast the summer is going. Before we know it summer will be over and fall will be here. Time keeps moving on.
