Take a peek at our new home!

As promised, here are the long awaited pictures of the inside of our home. Most rooms are decorated. We are still looking at getting some book shelves and end tables for the family room in the basement. And our bedroom pictures are not posted yet. We still have to fancy it up a little. All in time though. Well, come on into our home and enjoy looking around (although you are more than welcome to come in person sometime too!).
Our entry way

Our living room. We asked for the furniture when purchasing the house, that way we didn't have to go out and buy anything.

Our kitchen/dining area and deck is off the dining area

We bought these pictures shortly after moving in and because they were rung in at the wrong price, we got them for $4.94 each. How exciting is that?! I absolutely love them and they work well with the colours in the kitchen and dining area.

Ethan's room

Our main bathroom upstairs. Our shower curtain and towels matched with the colour on the walls.

This is the room we absolutely love! Our family room. It is so nice because the computer area and sitting area/tv area are close by. And I have a scapbooking table right near the computer area too, so when Paul is playing games on the computer, we can be together. And the playroom is just off the family room. It is such a functional room. I will post more pictures at a later time when we buy some book shelves and have a few more pictures on the wall.

We are so thankful to be here in this new home. We have been blessed and really like where we live. Even though we have given up some privacy and a smaller yard, the home still outweighs everything. Thanks for checking our home out and if you want to come visit sometime, just let us know!

Needing to catch up

Sorry everyone for the lack of posting. I guess we have just been busy with trying to get into a routine around here, plus we were at the trailer for a little while for our last vacation there. And I haven't really taken many pictures worth posting lately. I will take pictures of the inside of our home soon, the ones at the very end will have to do of our backyard for now.

The kids having lots of fun in the kiddie pool

oh did I say little kids? or big kid too? :0) Who says kiddie pools are for little kids?!

especially this 35 year old kid at heart!

Whenever Ethan sees the camera, he always says "cheese" which means, "take a picture of me, please"

On August 30th, Paul turned 35. We are thankful to God for him and for all he does for us. We are blessed!

Our back yard, not huge, but fenced in and nice for the kids to play safely

Our shed that we bought before we moved. Paul had to put it together.

Our deck that comes right off the kitchen/dining area. It is nice to have a place to sit and relax as well as share a meal as a family. More pictures of the inside coming soon......

We have had a very busy summer with packing, moving and getting settled and add a vacation or 2 to our trailer as well. It was busy but fun. It is hard to believe that school starts in less that 1 week. Seth is ready for Senior Kindergarten. He has his backpack, lunch kit, new indoor and outdoor shoes. And he had a hair cut as well. So he is ready for the big day on Wednesday. It will be nice to get back into a routine once again.

fire truck by our house

We have moved in our new home and are pretty much settled. The boys were gone for a few days, and a couple nights. So Paul and I had a chance to get much done in that time frame. Busy days and late nights, but it was well worth it in the end. Thanks to everyone who helped out with watching the boys, moving boxes, helping make beds, and unpacking some boxes and just for helping us get settled quickly! It was GREATLY appreciated! I will hopefully take some pictures sometime soon and post for you. Or you can just pop by for a visit sometime too! :0)
We are really loving our new home. It is really beautiful. Although we sacrificed some privacy in our backyard, we still love it. And it is nice to have a fenced in yard for the boys to play safely. We are getting into a routine and settling nicely. The boys call this home already and we really feel at home here. I still have to get used to the noises of the house settling at nights especially the nights that Paul is working. Like example last night, being woken up at 1:00 am by the door bell ringing!! Talk about a scare! Never in our married life have we had a door bell until moving here, and someone rings it on a night when Paul is working. I didn't get much sleep last night.
We had the local fire department on our street this week doing Fire Safety checks. They came by our place and we had them check our house. The boys were able to check out the fire truck and even go in it. I grabbed the camera and took some pictures. It was really fun for them! That is one thing that you don't get when you live on a dead end street (like our old home).

1 more week!

Hi all!
We get our new home next Wednesday and move in exactly 1 week from today. Just thought I would post an update. Things are busy around here. So much to do, and still things to pack. I haven't had time for blogging and posting pictures. I will take some picture after we move and post some once we are settled and have internet up and running, and once I have time for it as well. Hope you all are well and enjoying your summer time!

Vacation Pictures

We went to our trailer for the first time this season as a family. We went for just over 1 week. We had a great time, despite the rainy and cooler weather. Although we did have 2 really beautiful days that we could spend at the beach and the kids went in the water and had a blast playing in the sand. My parents and sisters were there as well. So we did the traditional eating suppers together and game nights with some junk food. Lots of fun! Too bad Jay and Kate were not able to make it, but they got possession of their home and were very busy with renovating. Auntie Dani was blessed with another birthday on July 2nd. We celebrated with KFC, pizza and cake. Enjoy the following pictures.

We had supper at the falls one night. It was a cooler evening, but was fun to spend time together.

This ends my post for now. We have less than 3 weeks until we get possession of our new home and move in. I have been packing a few boxes each day and just getting things organized for the move. So I do not know if I will be posting anything else until we are settled. We shall see if I take any pictures in the mean time. Although, we do have Paul's family dinner evening on a boat coming up next Friday and on Saturday is a family bridal shower for Kate. Maybe there will be another post. You will have to keep on checking back! Will definitely take pictures of our new home and post sometime in August.
