Vacation Pictures

We went to our trailer for the first time this season as a family. We went for just over 1 week. We had a great time, despite the rainy and cooler weather. Although we did have 2 really beautiful days that we could spend at the beach and the kids went in the water and had a blast playing in the sand. My parents and sisters were there as well. So we did the traditional eating suppers together and game nights with some junk food. Lots of fun! Too bad Jay and Kate were not able to make it, but they got possession of their home and were very busy with renovating. Auntie Dani was blessed with another birthday on July 2nd. We celebrated with KFC, pizza and cake. Enjoy the following pictures.

We had supper at the falls one night. It was a cooler evening, but was fun to spend time together.

This ends my post for now. We have less than 3 weeks until we get possession of our new home and move in. I have been packing a few boxes each day and just getting things organized for the move. So I do not know if I will be posting anything else until we are settled. We shall see if I take any pictures in the mean time. Although, we do have Paul's family dinner evening on a boat coming up next Friday and on Saturday is a family bridal shower for Kate. Maybe there will be another post. You will have to keep on checking back! Will definitely take pictures of our new home and post sometime in August.

Greenview Aviaries & family pics

God has blessed my parents with 30 years of marriage this past Tuesday. We had a BBQ celebration with just our immediate family. And since everyone was there, we thought it would be nice to get a family picture. The first 3 are just goofy ones, and the last one turned out the best. It is our prayer that God may grant them many more years together!

This past Monday, we went to Greenview Aviaries Park & Zoo. It was such a fun day. There was so much to see and so much to do. It was crazy busy though, since there were so many school groups with lots of kids running around. The best part (at least I thought) was checking out the animals. There were so many different animals that we have never seen up close before. So if you are looking for some family fun, check it out! They do have a splash pad though, which we did not know. The website did not say anything about it. Check out the pictures below of our fun family trip!

We head off for vacation in a couple days. It will be so nice to spend time at our trailer and just take it easy as a family. We will probably bring the camera along, but I doubt we will take many pictures. We seem to post the same things each year. We shall see though. And when we get back from vacation, it will be 3 weeks until moving day. Which means, lots and lots of packing and getting ready for the move. Hope you all have a wonderful start to your summer vacation!

Breakfast in bed & JK year end celebration

One evening last week, Seth asked me if he were to make breakfast, what would I want on my bread. Well, I mentioned that I prefered toast, but he told me that he can't use the toaster. So I told him either cinnamon spread, chocolate spread, or jam would be good. I didn't think anything more about it. The next morning, Seth woke up at 7:15, I woke up once I heard some noises in the kitchen. I went to check it out and was quickly told to go back to bed and wait for my breakfast in bed. Wow! How exciting! Breakfast in bed made by my oldest son. How special. And special indeed! He came into our room (Paul missed out since he was working) with 3 plates of food. We prayed for our meal and I began to enjoy my cinnamon spread on bread breakfast. And for a drink, we had a can of pop. :0) How sweet and thoughtful of Seth to do this for me (and Ethan, as well as himself).

All 3 of our breakfast plates, can you guess who gets the sandwich mounded with sprinkles?!

These pictures are from the JK year end celebration on Tuesday. It was a nice assembly (added with a little bit of entertainment from our son who so loves the attention) enjoyed by all. We ended the celebration with cake and punch.

At the beginning of the school year, the JK kids were paired up with a reading buddy from an older class. Seth had Richard. And he really enjoyed library day and the time spent with Richard reading him stories. Richard also taught him to do some goofy things as well. Here, Seth's reading buddy is giving a gift to him.
It is so hard to believe that the school year has come to a close. It has gone by so fast. What a blessing to have such a wonderful Christian school to send Seth to. And for all the teachers, the principal, the secretary (and many others) who all work together to make the school run so well. We are so blessed. And Seth was extremely blessed to have such a wonderful JK teacher. Mrs. Baker did so much more than she had to for all the kids. She is so loving and caring to her students, she has a heart for God and teaches that to her students as well. What a wonderful year it has been to volunteer and see how the JK class works, to see Mrs. Baker in action as she taught the kids.
We are however looking forward to summer vacation! It starts tomorrow. We are looking forward to sleeping in (or at least having relaxing mornings) and going to the trailer as well. We head off in 1 1/2 weeks. We are all looking forward to it!

bike rides, big beds and more....

Time for another post... not much is going on here right now. Slowly we are packing some boxes, but we still want to live a little, so not everything can be packed right now. We move in almost 1.5 months. How exciting! We are looking forward to it, yet I know it will be busy with getting everything ready to move and the whole unpacking process, and getting settled. I guess as long as you have your basics that you need, you can always unpack the rest over time. We shall see how that goes especially since if you know me, I will stay up til the wee hours of the night to get things done. I can't rest until jobs are finished. Anyways, these are just some pictures we have taken over the last month or so. Enjoy.

Ethan in his big boy toddler bed. How sweet to see him sleep in such a cute bed. Seth never had a toddler bed, he just went right to the big bed. So far, Ethan has done really well. We put a gate by the door to make sure he doesn't escape in the middle of the night. He hasn't had any problems for us, but just ask Auntie Sue when she watched the kids for 1 night. Apparently he got into some prescription cream that was in his dresser (up high might I add) and put it on his face, clothes, the floor and on his change pad. Crazy little guy. Why do our boys love getting into things that are not good for them? Remember me telling you shortly after Ethan was born, Seth got into some kids chewable tylenol and ate who knows how many. You think I would learn to keep those kind of things up high and secure.
