Babysitting my cousin

Last week Wednesday, I watched my cousin Connor for a little while. It was nice for Seth to have someone to be with.

Taking a 3 year old's picture

Here's one of the many attempts to get a good picture of Seth. He usally says 'cheese' and gives a goofy grin/smile.

The above and below pictures turned out the best. It isn't always easy to get good pictures of your kids.

Fun in the snow!

Making snow angels.

Shoveling the patio.

I didn't feel like getting dressed up and going out with Seth, so I let him play on our patio while I sat in a chair by the patio door and watched him. He sure had lots of fun!

Growing!

Here I am at 29 weeks and 2 days. Only 2 1/2 more months to go (due date April 3rd). So far I am doing well with my weight and the baby is growing and everything looks good. I have my first appointment with my OB in 5 1/2 weeks. We are excited about the arrival of this little one and looking foward to when he or she joins us.

Here Seth is kissing my belly. Every night before bed, he says his prayers. He prays for his baby brother or baby sister. And then he gives the baby a kiss and says good night. It is really sweet. Seth is understanding the whole concept of having a brother or sister. But the real test will be how he reacts when we bring the baby home from the hospital.

We are going away!

Paul & I have planned an over night stay in the Waterloo/St. Jacob's area. We will be going in 2 weeks from today. My parents and sister Sue will watch Seth while we are gone. It will be nice to get away, just the 2 of us before our baby comes. Our lives will be busy once a newborn is in our home. We plan on going to Kelsey's for supper and catch a movie with a free pass for both of us with snacks included. We look forward to sleeping in and taking it easy getting up in the morning. Our plan is to visit the St. Jacob's market on Saturday. We have never been there and heard that it is a nice place to check out. I think all couples need a little time away every now and then. And Paul & I are both looking forward to it.

Hockey Fan!

Uncle Jay bought Seth a hockey net for his birthday. So here they are after playing a little hockey. This will come in handy in the spring and summer when we can take the net outside and Seth can play with Daddy.

Here's the habs fan in full uniform!!

Party Pictures

We had a small party for Seth on Saturday afternoon. We brought in the cake with candles and started to sing happy birthday. And he started crying and tried to run out of the room. So here he is going to blow out his candles but with tears in his eyes. I think he was a little overwhelmed. (He did tell me that he cried because it was too noisy)

Here is my Opa, Auntie Dani, my Oma and Auntie Sue.

Here is Grandma & Papa.

Seth opening a card and some gifts.

Here's our weed whacking man. This is one of the gifts he received. In the summer and fall he would go outside and grab a stick and use that for his weed whacker. So now he has one and can help Daddy with the yard work!

It's a Curious George Party!!

Our little boy Seth is celebrating his 3rd birthday today. We have been blessed to have him in our lives and thank God for him. He is a special little boy.
We are having a Curious George theme party for him. I sent out invitations to family members for a small party this afternoon. Seth woke up earlier this morning and said, "It's my party today". I think he's pretty excited about it.

I made a cake and decorated it with a Curious George figurine. The only thing is Seth isn't too crazy about cake. Maybe next year, we will just have ice cream and sprinkles instead?! Last night when Seth went to bed, I decorated the house with a few balloons and a Happy Birthday banner. (the dollar store is great for party supplies)

Seth opening his gifts from us.

Here Seth is after opening his gifts. He received Curious George bubble bath & lip balm, a Curious George book and 2 Bob the Builder DVD's. I will hopefully post a few more pictures from his party later on.

Time with Auntie Sue

Auntie Sue came over to babysit Seth on new year's so we could celebrate with friends. She also stayed over for a few nights and was able to help me with some cleaning and watch Seth while we did some things around the house. She is always a great help and Seth loves it when Auntie Sue comes over! (and so do we)
